Things to do while we’re waiting for Spring

Two virtual conferences are coming up in March which may be of interest:

Wisconsin Water Week, March 8-12. Replacing the in-person Lakes and Rivers Convention that was held yearly in Stevens Point, this online event will feature presentations, panel discussions, and interactive conversations with experts¬† on the full range of water topics, opportunities to network with fellow participants through messaging and chat functions, and exposure to a wide range of service providers and non-profit organizations working on water and water conservation. The presentations on March 8 and 9 look especially interesting, and at just $20 a day it’s really affordable.

Canoecopia, March 12-14. This annual paddlesports extravaganza usually takes place in Madison, but this year is completely virtual and includes three days of presentations and exhibits that make outdoors-people like me really happy. This one’s cheap, too! Only $15 for all three days.

Won’t be long before the ice melts and we’ll all be back on the lake.
