The 2024 Annual Meeting and Picnic are right around the corner!

The LOFA annual general membership meeting and picnic will be held on Sunday, August 4  at Beaver’s Resort on Lake of the Falls Road. The meeting will start at 11:00 am with the picnic immediately following. We will vote for officers (President, Secretary, and 2 at-large members) and hear a presentation by DNR Water Resources Management Specialist Kevin Gauthier, about the Directed Lakes Survey that was conducted last year on Lake of the Falls and First Black Lake. Kevin and his team collected a TON of interesting data about our lake that will help us in keeping it as beautiful in the future as it is now. Don’t miss it!

Please feel free to bring along your family members and houseguests. Burgers, side dishes and beverages will be supplied by Beavers. If you would like to bring a dessert to pass, please feel free to do so, and bring your lawn chairs if you have them. If you haven’t already paid your membership dues, you can pay them at the picnic, and if you would like to participate in the 50/50 raffle, don’t forget to bring some cash!

Set-up for the picnic will be Saturday, August 3 at about 10:00 am. Volunteers are always welcome.

Come on out! It’s a great way to stay in touch with your neighbors around the lake, and find out what’s been happening. Hope to see you there.
