Jim Hannemann
Longtime Lake of the Falls resident and LOFA board member Jim Hannemann passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2026. We are so sorry to see him go. Memorial services for Jim will be in Appleton on Saturday, February 21st at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior Street in Appleton. The visitation will start at 2:00 pm, a Catholic service will take place a 4:00 pm, and refreshments will follow. When Jim stepped down from the LOFA board this year, I went back through the records and tried to figure out how many continuous years he had served on the board. It was at least since 2014, and may have been longer. Even Jim didn’t know. But his service to our organization was exemplary, and he will be missed by all of us. We send our sympathy and support to Kathy and the family.
