Annual meeting and picnic 2025
Forty people came out for this year’s Lake of the Falls Association annual meeting on August 3, with another half-dozen joining in for the picnic. The minutes of the meeting can be read here. Highlights included approval of our purchase of an AED unit, and purchase of 8 new channel markers to replace the old ones in the north channel; and a presentation about the upcoming fish habitat enhancement project. We got a couple more names on our Adopt-a-Shore Map, and held an election for new officers. It’s great to see so many people interested in volunteering for our lake association! As it happened, so many people were eager to volunteer that we inadvertently elected one too many trustees! To rectify the situation, the new LOFA board held a special meeting on Zoom on August 8 (minutes are at this link). After some discussion, trustee Bill Lauer volunteered to step down from the board. Bill’s been a great addition to the LOFA board these last couple of years, and he will be missed.
