Things to do while we’re waiting for Spring
Two virtual conferences are coming up in March which may be of interest:
Wisconsin Water Week, March 8-12. Replacing the in-person Lakes and Rivers Convention that was held yearly in Stevens Point, this online event will feature presentations, panel discussions, and interactive conversations with experts on the full range of water topics, opportunities to network with fellow participants through messaging and chat functions, and exposure to a wide range of service providers and non-profit organizations working on water and water conservation. The presentations on March 8 and 9 look especially interesting, and at just $20 a day it’s really affordable.
Canoecopia, March 12-14. This annual paddlesports extravaganza usually takes place in Madison, but this year is completely virtual and includes three days of presentations and exhibits that make outdoors-people like me really happy. This one’s cheap, too! Only $15 for all three days.
Won’t be long before the ice melts and we’ll all be back on the lake.
