Support for Rice Lake from the Mercer Town Board

We received this email from the ICLRA on Friday evening:

Thank you all for your support.

Today we received notice from the DNR that the Rice Lake grant had  gained high scores in the DNR grant ranking.  At about 5:50 PM the Mercer Town Board voted unanimously to send a letter of intentation to build a boat landing on Rice Lake as required by the Wisconsin DNR in order to approve the Rice Lake grant.

We and the people on Rice Lake, Pike Lake, Lake of the Falls and the Turtle-Flambeau thank you for your actions in support of the program to eliminate the Curly Leaf Pondweed from Rice Lake.

Best Regards

Iron County Lakes and Rivers Alliance, Inc.

(Thanks to everyone who expressed support for this.)
